Beyond today professionally, a 2-3 year plan

To maintain and continue personal professional development that goes beyond completed academic studies, the below plan has been developed with a holistic and dynamic approach, while keeping in mind this is a second career that has evolved in the later years of my life. It is also a personal professional development plan that extends past university  now that studies have been completed.

In doing this, I will be able to strengthen an already learned skill-set obtained by completing the QUT MIT(LIS) degree while learning new skills, abilities and knowledge in the forthcoming 2-3 years.

Fostering of international networking relations will broaden the worldview perception(s) that will enable sharing knowledge, experiences and learning from those that I connect with in the LIS profession. Additionally becoming a member with professional LIS bodies, such as ALIA, IFLA and potentially ARLIS/NZ among others here in Australia and beyond these shores will further enhance my learning experiences.

Future studies are also considered and are included in the personal professional development plan below.

These items are aimed at benefiting my existing employ with Logan City Council’s Libraries & Cultural Services, where possible for the organisation.

All listed items are open to modification, especially if (and when) opportunities emerge.
